Actually, I'm not with you on this one.. there is the original message: ===== From: "Juan Manuel Espinoza" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Wed 12:04 PM Subject: Password form To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi everybody! How can i do a file that process a password form. and if the pass is correct open a URL. Thanks MCperl ===== I don't call this "more than detailled enough"... Two line can't tell much and I don't think we want to loose lots of time to explain how to do one method and then having a reply saying that wasn't the asked question. Probably yes you can guess the question he is asking and you have 80% of the chances that it is the right one, but there still a 20% for which you don't want to loose time. He is not stating where he's getting the password from, a database, a flat text file, a variable in the script? I mean we can't provide code snipplet for every way of checking a password, we can't provide code snipplet for every way you can open an URL (redirect to a page, print some html from a "print<<END;", etc). I prefer some elitists that provide loads of help on many questionss asked on the mailing list than a guy only complaining, after all, Andrea is not at all a beginner and could be on other lists than here. She gives a lot of time to help us and I think that unuseful posts like the one you did are really a waste of bandwidth.
