Hello,
I am a maintainer of a web site. I'd like to write a script to
check and see if the external links that I created however long ago still
exist. Does anyone know of a way that I can connect to a web page and just
check the status that is returned by the server? I don't need the page,
just to check if the status is 404 (page not found) or whatever.
