It’s whatever is current, but I’ve used WWW::Mechanize on MacOS for the last 
*mumble* versions, never having wget installed, without any problem. 

I also just checked, and the string ‘wget’ does not appear in the 
WWW::Mechanize dist at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
