Ah yes, I finally found the problems: http://padre.perlide.org/trac/ticket/1438 http://padre.perlide.org/trac/ticket/1474 http://padre.perlide.org/trac/ticket/1457
So all this time, the source of my frustration has been the result of bugs. Well, I do feel better knowing this rather than it being a problem on my end (i.e. me doing something wrong), which is what I had assumed up until now. Is there a way I can create an account on that site so I can help track and verify bugs? I used to work in software quality assurance, so I know quite a bit about using a bugtracker.
