No offense intended, but I disagree. <moderator hat back on> None of the questions in this thread have been off-topic for perl-beginners. (perl-beginners-cgi could be argued to be _more_ appropriate, but since that list is basically dead, perl-beginners is a fine place.) > For questions about Template::Toolkit, I suggest you try the > Template::Toolkit mailing list at > http://lists.perl.org/list/template-toolkit.html That would also be an _acceptable_ place to ask Template Toolkit questions, of course, but I'm going to not-so-humbly suggest that this particular thread would have gone a lot worse, a lot faster, were it not on perl-beginners. One situation I really want to avoid with perl-beginners is having the "old hands" here send people to other lists, only to have the people on those other lists say "we don't have time to hold your hand, maybe you should ask on perl-beginners instead", so as long as something is being asked by a genuine beginner, I think it's fair game. (And of course, people are always free to not answer a question, or even to not read a particular thread. Nobody _has_ to be here.) thanks, john. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: beginners-unsubscr...@perl.org For additional commands, e-mail: beginners-h...@perl.org http://learn.perl.org/
