Hi there,

I am trying to insert a '.' every four characters. Say I have a $it =
'123456789012' and want the result to be '1234.5678.9012'

whats one of the smoothest ways to do that?

okay I answered my own question. I am wondering if there is a different way?

I did:

$it =~ s/(\S{4})/$1\./g;
