Wow, thanks for all the responses! I've gotten a lot more responses than I had ever expected so this could be a large team but the project involves writing a Perl/SQL program that automates the process of inputting about 900 html files into the SQL database. I'm willing to work with anyone who has the time and the inclination including newbies since I am one myself. One thing that I would like to know off the bat is exactly what types of information do I need to get from the person who was working on a PHP conversion program but who has too much on his plate right now to work on it. Here's what I have so far: >> What Operating System is it on? >You been hanging with the sharks or what? FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE which >is a Unix OS based on the original Berkley Systems Distribution. I >think BSD was the second Unix in the world. It was long before iMac >and Winjunk came along. >> What version of SQL is it? >SQL97 I believe. But I don't think that's what you're looking for. >SQL97 is just the version of SQL and all DBs stretch that a bit. >MySQL is pretty far from being SQL97 compliant. >You're using MySQL 3.22.32 according to the login shell. >> What are the log-in or access pathways? >Not sure. I'll guess. Login pathways? I would guess they are asking >whether you're using the shell or PHPMyAdmin. >If you point me to what you're referring to maybe I can help a >little better. If you want in depth info on MySQL go to >www.mysql.com and click on Documentation. It'll take you to the >manual. It's a sloppy one, but it's going straight to the source. >Lemme know if I didn't answer these correctly, I've never heard these terms. ------------------------------- - Teresa Raymond - - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - - http://www.mariposanet.com - ------------------------------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
