What kind of file operations? There are many of them. First of all read http://perldoc.perl.org/perlopentut.html , then go over the relevant resources in http://perl-begin.org/ and let me know what you feel is lacking so I can improve it. Also see http://search.cpan.org/dist/IO-All/ which is an all-in-one file and I/O handling CPAN distribution which I like. Which other file operations are you interested in?
