i decided to check this site out based on your comments. sorry to agree
with you but it is full of weak perl and poor english. my biggest
complaint is the constant use of saying

-- with

@first_3 == ( 2, 3, 5 )

since that isn't proper perl at all. he is using pseudo-perl to show
some equivilence but it would be so easy to show proper perl for the
same thing.

also he doesn't actually explain slicing and even says its syntax is
slightly confusing. compared to doing the code without slicing, slices
are fabulously simple sugar.

just another web tutorial written by someone who doesn't know perl well
enough to write about it. sorry but they almost all fail.
