again, this makes little sense. it would also break on unix platforms
and as someone else and i have shown, it untars fine here. if i get a
tuit i will also look at the files. i have hacked with tar formats way
in my past for a project so i know them a bit. but i just don't think it
is a tarbal problem but something odd on your box.
