I don't want to sound negative, but I really don't like the
proposed logo much at all.
The main thing I dislike is that it's not inviting. If someone
was maybe unsure about learning Perl I don't think this button
would encourage them to click it to find out more. Not all Perl
code is cryptic and unreadable, but this button kind of showcases
the stuff that is.
I do like the shebang line.
I do like the chalkboard concept (although it might work better
with more of a script font).
I'd suggest this code snippet:
print "Hello World!";
(Although it might be a challenge to fix it in).
A beginner could look at that code snippet, make a good guess at
what it does and think to themselves 'hey that looks pretty easy
- why don't I take a deeper look'.
