Kernel Panic because of Perl?

Hi all,

Since I have been writing Perl scripts for CGI and non-CGI I have been experiencing 
strange things on my server.

It always says: Trying to kill the idle proccess.
and then : Kernel Panic

with a lot of numbers which are not logged.

Can Perl cause this kind of side effects?
