I don't think you lost it, you just decided to abuse it a bit.

Maybe "Aliens II" would have been the better simile, I just decided against 
it because her victory was more decisive.  Anyway, any number of sci-fi 
movies about heroes battling hordes of rapacious monsters constantly 
attacking from all angles should fit the bill...
