Well, I don't know whether this is off topic or not, if so please excuse me.
This is the thread:
I've been trying (for several days) to connect from my Windows client to a
database in mysql using MyODBC for Windows. To be more clear: I´m
developing a web based data base on a Windows client just for the easyness
of use but I actually have got my database on a RH 6.2 box running mysql (I
hope you get it!). Further explanations can be given at request (I'm
expecting many :) ).
But I never get it working, that is, whether it cannot conect to the server
or the data given (according to MyODBC) is not enough to create a file DSN.
If you don't get it I do understand your filling of loneliness.
In summary, how can I connect my web based platform on a windows client
(whilst testing) to my database on a RH6.2 box?
I'm sorry it went too far. Any help will be highly HIGHLY appreciated.
