You will have to have the mysql-devel libs installed already. Assuming you do then you can fire up CPAN, set your make destination directory and it should do the rest. If you have to install the mysql stuff yourself and CPAN isn't picking up the includes then come back with the error message that you get and I (we) can probably get your CPAN sorted. It has a lot of options and switches which can be confusing, but in the end it is pretty powerful. Of course perldoc CPAN yourself if you want to try to make sense of it all. I learned through that and trial and error...
