I have been looking for a good Perl development environment for Linux for some time now. All the IDE's I've found for Linux cost quite a bit of money, but Komodo has a non-commercial/educational license (version 1.1 is free but unsupported, and version 1.2 costs $29.50) which is cheap enough to warrant my attention. I work for an educational establishment and have been given the task of developing a database application with a CGI frontend specifically for use within my college. I've been using Kwrite to code it, but I would really like to use an IDE. I would like to know what experiences (if any) the people on this list have had with Komodo, and whether it's any good for CGI work. Perhaps there are other apps that are better, if so, please post your comments. -- Geraint Jones
