Hello,
I am trying to set a "preferred" absolute path on the user agent's drive for a downloaded file. It seems that the "filename" param of the "Content-disposition" header the user agent SHOULD NOT ( according to the RFC ) honor the absolute path like this. I've found that it actually works for Windows pathnames ( e.g. "C:\temp\test" ) but Unix pathnames are set to - instead of / ( tested in latest Mozilla release on both platforms. Is there another way to go about this? I can't think of one, but I've heard that PVCS does this through it's web interface so I figured there must be a way.
