I have a big sign over my computer that says...

        REMEMBER...
        = != == !

My way of telling my self that when I'm checking for equality in an if
statement such as
        if($x == 4) {
                # do something
        }

I MUST use the equality operator (==) and NOT the assignment operator (=).
I do that ALL the time.
