I don't know anything about MacPerl, but if it doesn't have perldoc and *all* of the pod files, I would classify it as a broken distribution. You can always get perldoc and all the pod's from CPAN, or just copy them from your PC to your Mac. perldoc is just a perl script, so it should work fine over there.
