I am beginning to wish I had not posted the question about parsing the
info tacked on to the url, because of all the contention it seems to
have caused. I apologise. I am working my way through the rat book
and am implementing the news example but without using embperl (as an
exercise). My error was simple ( I had assumed that to use the param
call one needed to have generated a form. The answers from the list
put me straight in about ten minutes - a truly wonderfull service - I
might have spent several hours unlearning what I thought I knew
without the help of the list. I do not work in IT and am trying to do
this /between patients/ as it were.
