Liz Castro - Burn me once shame on you burn me twice ....

I bought the first edition and was very unhappy. Even the code examples
when downloaded have to be figured out as they aren't in a logical order
like - chapter 1, chapter 2, etc. So I read on her site that the second
edition covered more in depth material. So, I bought it too! Thinking,
like Microsoft - never buy version 1.0!

It was "incredibly helpful" considering its a beginner's book. In fact here
is a good example of the more in depth material. I quote from page 49:

"This chapter will explain how to run Perl CGI scripts on a UNIX server.
While you can conceivably set up an Apache server on a personal computer
(say, running Linux), I'm not going to go into the configuration details
here. My guess is that if your running Linux, you can work out installing
Apache as well."

Now keep in mind a install on a Win2k box of Indigo Perl automatically sets
up Apache which stretches the concept of the term "conceivably."

I bought this book ... no I bought TWO editions of this book ... because
someone on this list recommended it. I think at the least you should simply
wait for the version of the book that realizes Apache has made it to the
desktop, including the Windoz world.
