Hi all, I’m new to this and still figuring things out. My question might
have an obvious answer, but I’d really appreciate any insights.

Sometimes I make transfers from one currency to another. I prefer to write
it explicitly:

2025-01-01 price AMD 389 USD

2025-01-01 *
  Assets:Cash:Visa -40000 AMD
  Assets:Cash:MasterCard 100 USD
  Equity:Transfers

(price in the transaction differs because of my bank's internal currency
exchange rate)

I've read
https://beancount.github.io/docs/beancount_language_syntax.html#prices-from-postings
and want to know, is this an equivalent to

2025-01-01 price AMD 389 USD

2025-01-01 *
  Assets:Cash:Visa  -40000 AMD  {400 USD}
  Assets:Cash:MasterCard 100 USD
  Equity:Transfers

Do you think I should use this syntax for all transfer transactions?

Thanks in advance!
