Hello, dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration <<< Try this idea.
Seth P.S. I was just reading the Debian Manual. It seems if things are not already configured, which may be the case at any point in time thus far with anything, dpkg-reconfigure has an idea for it. man pages!
