Hi, I flashed my beaglebone black with Debian Jessie 8.3 too. The LCD 7'0 (4D System) works fine with the board. The LCD's manual mentions Angstrom but doesn't mention Debian distribution (section 3.2). For my experience, it's compatible with the beaglebone black.
