Hi, I just got my BBB and I was wondering if anyone has tried replacing the RAM on the board with a higher density part? After doing a bit of research it looks like Micron makes a chip that would be a drop in replacement: http://www.micron.com/parts/dram/ddr3-sdram/mt41k512m16tna-125?pc={338582DE-C8D6-4594-91B4-B3E86A5D5374}
It's also in stock at a few places (and costs almost as much as a BBB!) http://octopart.com/partsearch#!?q=MT41K512M16&start=0&limit=10 I'm planning on running android and wondering if there would need to be any software changes. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
