What is linux 8.0? Do you mean RedHat 8.0? Please be cautions, as far as I know there is no distro called linux 8.0. Moreover, if you are using RedHat, please use a newer version (if you don't have, you can collect from me). The newer editions should support your hardware (unless it is a Winmodem).
