ANNOUNCEMENTS: none Reviews: Yochanan reviewed the new 'Godzilla & Kong' movie, saying that it was a good popcorn movie. He enjoyed it & felt it was worth full price. Kennita also saw it - in 3D & thought it used 3D effects winningly & she enjoyed the movie for its own sake, as well - worth what she paid and Yochanan reviewed 'The Walking Dead, the One Who Live' a 6-episode spinoff, finding it had a good story & conclusion https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9859436/ and he reviewed a show called 'Alice in Borderlands' on Netflix, Japanese, dubbed that has 2 seasons, which was a little violent & was somewhat similar to 'Squid Games' in some ways. He found it to be an interesting show https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Borderland_(TV_series) Rick reviewed watching 'Three Body Problem' (NBC Peacock, Amazon Prime) in the 30-episode Chinese-made version as not to be confused with the Netflix one by the GoT guys. Mandarin, w/English subtitles. He is only a couple of episodes in, but finding it engrossing. Tip: Don't push the Big Red Button to contact aliens. You might get squashed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-Body Lisa reviewed seeing 'Dune 2' and enjoyed it a great deal. She appreciated seeing it on the big screen & liked the portrayal of Feyd, but found him much less attractive than Sting [from the David Lynch adaptation] & worth full price Kennita reviewed the eclipse, as seen from Cleveland. The sky was clear & the weather was gorgeous. She saw Jupiter when the sky went dark & found the experience to be awesome - A+. Craig followed - having seen it from the Santa Ana, Calif airport & found it disappointing. Gayle saw the eclipse from Olney, IL with Gerry. They had a telescope at hand & managed to get a fair number of totality shots, albeit with some challenges, so it counted as a successful expedition and the rumor of the week was = 'A total eclipse of the...BASFA!' we adjourned at = 8:33pm -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?' melc...@gmail.com *******************
