REVIEWS:

Rick reviewed the 2nd season of 'Loki' on Disney+ as the apparent
concluding season, with a rather oddly-plotted but compelling story arc.
Rick states that the finale was one of the most stunning and impressive he
has ever seen & highly recommends the series.
and Rick reviewed "Orphan Black: Echoes" as a promising sequel set
roughly 20 years after the Canadian SF series "Orphan Black". With a
sample of two episodes, he rates it as quite a kick, and different from the
original but worthy of comparison & recommended. It is currently released
in Australia only, to be released on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America in 2024.

Yochanan reviewed 'Better than Us', a Russian show about robots on Netflix
[Russian with English subtitles], as the plot gets bogged down a lot. He
found that it dragged in the middle & is 'very Russian' with convoluted
plot threads & he 'marginally recommends it'

and Yochanan reviewed 'Lower Decks, The Ready Room' as having 7 or
8 episodes that get progressively better. He loved watching them & there
were enthusiastic follow-ons

Gerry reviewed OryCon as a good little convention this year, with good
programming. He sold 10 books while there, so it was successful for him &
he hopes to go again next year. Gayle followed, also having enjoyed the
con & panels she attended, but wished the hotel had maintained better
security in their parking lots

Lisa reviewed 3Below's sing-a-long for 'Frozen' as great fun & she
recommends attending future sing-a-longs that 3Below holds. She enjoys
seeing the movies on the big screen again & suggests watching 3Below's
website for their schedule

we adjournified at 8:40 pm

and the rumor of the week was = 'During BASFA meetings remember to moot
yourself'
