Gerry announced that Candy is trying to join the meeting & has just had a
knee replacement surgery & was telling us 'hi' - Candy did join us via cell
phone, relayed by Gerry

REVIEWS:

Gayle reviewed Or-E-Con as a virtual con put on by a hard-working group &
Gerry was on 4 panels & she spent a lot of time listening to &
participating in filk & the participants were all very good; Robin
followed, saying she was very pleased at how they organized Zoom & the
break-out rooms & she enjoyed herself; Gerry praised Patty Wells for her
organizational skills & he felt that in as much as it was a virtual con it
felt extremely real & well done, except that there should have been a
separate person proposing questions from the audience & the film room
worked very well

John O reviewed that there was a pleasant horde of trick-or-treaters on
Hallowe'en & there were some very cool costumes that night & it was a fun
night
John O also reviewed 'Black Adam' as not as bad as the reviews, but
not as fun as they were expecting since the director had the Rock play the
character as extremely stoic; Yochanan repeated his review of last week,
that it was fun and mindless but confusing & the secretary followed, who
liked the movie, but already knew about the Justice Society & thought the
characters were done well

Lisa reviewed a new music download - Fred & Robin's 'Eponymous' & thinks it
is wonderful & the recording quality is excellent; Robin followed that
selections from 'Eponymous' were on Doctor Demento; the album is an all in
one downloadable album - available digitally at http://capplor.bandcamp.com
Lisa also reviewed La Belle de Vampire a Peers dance as it was both
fun & interesting. She got to do the Time Warp which was great fun to do
in costume & the entire experience was just wonderful

Yochanan reviewed a stop-motion animation, 'Wendell & Wild' on Netflix
about a pair of cute demons & it was okay, but not great & he enjoyed
watching the stop motion
https://www.netflix.com/title/80231433
Yochanan also reviewed the Disney Gallery: Star Wars: The Mandalorian,
a behind the scene documentary made up of 2 seasons, one with 8 eps & one
with 2 eps & he enjoyed watching them
Yochanan also reviewed 'Hocus Pocus 2' as cute but it fell a little
flat to him & didn't live up to its potential

we adjourned at 8:40pm

and the rumor of the week was = 'VOTE like your life depends on it.
Because it does.'
