Dear Suzie,

First, it's so nice to hear from you!  I hope all is well.

Unfortunately, the new dates chosen for BayCon fell right on top of WesterCon,
to which I'd already committed.  It's in the realm of possibility that this
conflict may change--Tonapah, NV may not have a very full convention schedule
and it might be in Westercon and Tonapah's interest to change dates rather than
to have to compete with Baycon for warm bodies, however unfair the
circumstance.  But if forced to choose today, I would have keep my prior
commitment to Westercon for those dates.

In any event, please feel free to use any panel suggestions I've made in the
past.  Being a future nut and space cadet, I always submit more suggestions
than I could possibly attend myself in hopes that there will be a strong
science, future tech, and science fiction program for everyone's benefit.

Along those lines, I think there might be a good case to have the following
Panel, whether I'm there or not.

Are we living in Sarah Pinsker's Dystopia?
How close did she come to anticipating our present circumstances in A Song for
a New Day and why?  Are we still going to be going through this seven years
from now?

Take care and good luck.

Greetings!

As most of you will have heard by now, BayCon 2022 has been scheduled for July
1-4. We hope to see you all there. We understand that due to the length of time
since you first committed and the change in our dates, some of you may be
unable to join us. You will be missed. If you fall into that category, please
let us know. In addition to removing you from the 2022 roster, we will remove
your panel suggestions from the survey unless you give us specific permission
to run them in your absence.

There will be more information coming soon. We will be issuing new
questionnaires and surveys and kickstarting the programming process in the
coming weeks. We are excited to be coming back together,

With Warmest Regards,

Susie, Merelan, and the Programming Ninjas
