Trey Haddad, President Chris Garcia, Vice President Dave Gallaher, Treasurer Galen Tripp, Sergeant at Arms Barbara Johnson-Haddad, Secretary held at Coco's, 1206 Oakmead Parkway (Lawrence Expressway/101 Fwy), Sunnyvale Began at 8pm 16 people attended we established a party jar The minutes of meeting 1258 were accepted as 'abridged too far' The Treasurer reported that last week we took in $0.50 in the regular jar & $10.75 in the party jar There was no vice president report The President had nothing fannish to report The Sports committee reported that we all had a good time at the September 12 Giants game The Party Committee reported that there will be a BASFA party at Convolution on Saturday JC made a request that announcements and reviews be done with brevity Announcements: Fred announced that Convolution will be Sept 26-28 at the Hyatt Regency SFO Carole announced that she will be in the Convolution Art show [tall] Kevin announced that at 8am the hotel reservations open up for next year's Worldcon JC announced that Nerdvana Podcast will be at Convolution & that he'll be on panels at Convolution Bradford announced that he got a 4th good review on his book Aatheus announced that it's national drive electric week Geri announced that you should go to AT&T on Friday if you want an iphone on release day Reviews: Michael reviewed 'Here by Monsters' by Alan Snow as it started the boxtroll movement & was a fun read Aatheus reviewed watching the China all-electric formula one race as worth watching on Fox Sports Bill reviewed British transportation options & recommends the boat/train & taking out the deductible collision insurance The Giants' outing was reviewed as wonderful Geri reviewed South Bay Termite & they stayed back in their old place while the new is being tented & recommend Wiring by Woody, Ryan Wood = 408-393-6237 & say JC sent you we did auctions we adjourned at 9:37 pm and the rumor of the week was: 'if brevity is next to impossible then your dictionary is very small' -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?' melc...@gmail.com *******************
