Began at 8pm - with paper from Fred & Howeird awesomeness

A party jar was established

The minutes of meeting 1164 were accepted as 'gangnam style is an oxymoron'

the Treasurer reported that last week we took in $25.75 in the regular jar
& $27.75 in the party jar

there was no VP

The President had nothing fannish to report

The Sports Committee is looking at possible dates - maybe May 3rd [for
$69?!?] vs the Dodgers - or the following Friday [for $29!]

The AdHoc Outing Committee says 'stay tuned'

The Party Committee reported he is planning on a BASFA party at FurCon on
the Sunday of con


Announcements:
Lisa announced that this is their 35th wedding anniversary today &
announced that they have a LosCon membership for next year for $30

Mo announced that she & Chris are conspiring

Adrienne announced that this weekend is SMOFcon in Philadelphia and that
she will be missing our next 2 meetings

JC announced that episode #4 of the Nerdvana podcast is up now in 3, 60
minutes chunks & that they are plotting out episode #5

Mike announced that Spectrum annual #19 is out now

Howeird announced 2 birthdays today - Dr. Flash Gordon & Charles Schultz &
also announced that he has been cast in a production of 'Brigadoon'


Reviews:
Steven reviewed 'Broken Bride' by Ludo as a rock opera with time travel and
explosions that he recommends as a 'must listen' & reviewed seeing 'Close
Encounters of the 3rd Kind' as a special kind of 70's awesome

Lisa reviewed LosCon as there were lots of good panels, the ice cream
social was excellent, the party floor rocked & they enjoyed it & Mo
comments that she went and had a great time & thought it worth full price

Adrienne reviewed Dickens Faire as nice & wheelchair accessible & she saw
people she knew - had a good time and thought it worth the trip

Dave G reviewed seeing Andrea Bocelli as they had a very good time at the
concert

JC reviewed the Retrodome showing of 'Wizard of Oz' as really good to see
in a theatre & lots of fun - worth full price

Howeird reviewed going to see the snow in the Sierras as it was a lovely
scenic experience but that the snow had melted

Trey reviewed a direct-to-the-web, fan-made 'Halo' movie as having a large
budget and good production values - and free to see - that was quite
enjoyable and worth seeing


We did auctions
we adjourned at 9:08 pm

and the rumor of the week was:  'God, I hope not'
