Quoting Barbara Johnson-Haddad (melc...@gmail.com): > Howeird reviewed 'On the Origin of the Species' by Darwin as quite readable > - well written - and worth buying a print copy of, just to get the page > formatting
I didn't get a chance to talk to Howard about the electronic copy he found and its formatting problems, but he might have gone directly to Project Gutenberg for it. Gutenberg is a lifesaver, but the formatting used for e-texts is often sub-par, such that you are best advised to favour acquisition of Project Gutenberg public-domain e-texts as repackaged by third-party aggregation sites. There are a number of those, e.g., Feedbooks. I've just checked the e-text of 'On the Origin of Species', there, and it appears fine.
