Reviews
Andy reviewed SorcererCon as itty bitty – but bigger than last year; that
weddings are annoying, the art show was teeny but had good stuff in it &
that Dealer's room was always active – all in all worth full price; Dave G
follow-on'd that it was a nice little convention and that Spring did well –
it was very enjoyable; Jo follow-on'd that they had really relevant guests;
Ken said 'they're small but they care'; Lisa follow-on'd that the videos
shown were all weird but she really enjoyed them so much; Adrienne
follow-on'd that the hotel seemed the right size; [tall] Kevin follow-on'd
that he was surprised he sold a Westercon membership – he also sold a fair
number of Tshirts; Mo follow-on'd that Dann donated the films for the video
room and it was a 'fun, fun convention' and it was a beautiful gem of a
hotel

I reviewed 'Harry Potter 7a' as I enjoyed it, good when there was action on
the screen; Jo follow-on'd that it was like 'Schindler's List without the
heartwarming moments; Mo follow-on'd that the films do a good job of
showing how the characters matured; Trey follow-on'd that it was a capable
job & worth matinee & Kuma asked if there were fish [and told 'no' but told
that Harry did go fishing]

Ken reviewed travel to Texas as done without either being felt up or
irradiated & Texas was warm

Jo reviewed the 'General Theory of Love' as a significant and scientific
text and it related well to him & reviewed reading 4 recent Worldcon
souvenir books as 'Montreal wins'

Then we did auctions – videos for $1.00, $1.00, $0.50, $0.25, $0.25, $0.50,
$0.25, $0.25, $0.25;  DVDs for $0.05, $0.25;  magazines for $0.25 & $1.25;
&  books for $1.00

We adjourned at = 9:38

The rumor of the week was: 'The internet is for Gorn'
