Reviews
Andy reviewed 'District B13' – a very strange, near-future French dystopic
film as completely mad & highly recommended & reviewed 'Mooring at the Dock'
– a swedish film = 'Angora En Brygga' about docking a sailboat, as an insane
comedy

Adrienne reviewed 'Harry Potter 7a' as she enjoyed the book, the actors did
well and the fx were good, but the plot of the movie was hackneyed at times;
worth matinee; Lisa follow-on'd that she enjoyed it; Aatheus did not think
it was worth seeing in IMAX

Dave G reviewed the American retread of 'Top Gear' as reimagined and
diminished – as he wasn't really impressed; [tall[ Kevin follow-on'd that he
was not hugely disappointed by the retread & then Dave reviewed 'Beyond the
Beyond' by Lee Goldberg as fun & he recommends it

Spring reviewed the Oakland Museum of California for the Pizar exhibit and
it was phenominal – worth full price and museum membership

Glenn reviewed OryCon as he spent most of his time behind the table but had
a pretty good time – [tall] Kevin reviewed the 'Match Game' as surprisingly
well attended & he had great panelists & there may be a Westercon 66 bid
from Portland; Glenn also recommends the web-comic 'Sinfest' & hopes 'Tron
2' will live up to the trailer he saw

Fred reviewed 'For the Win' by Cory Doctorow as much better than he expected
and he recommends it

Then we did more auctions – books for $3.00; magazines for $1.00; & a bag
for $0.25

We adjourned at = 9:08

The rumor of the week was: 'Trey is in favor of 'Lust in Translation'
