Moving to Pyramid might be easier, because Pyramid is nothing but Pylons + TG + repoze.bfg etc. Pyramid is a unification and based upon some of the ealier framework. You could use sqlalchemy, controller and developmemnt.ini of your existing project out of box for Pyramid (but not for django). I am not sure what is tg2env.
