Hello everyone,
For the past two weeks, I have been trying to install Bacula /
Bacularis on a fresh virtual Proxmox machine running Debian 13. It
simply isn't working—regardless of whether I start with Bacula first or
with Bacularis. With the web frontend enabled, it just doesn't work;
however, without the web frontend, everything works perfectly.
When installing via Bacularis, the Director / Catalog installation
fails. Error messages pop up during the database table setup process.
On Debian 13, I installed the following packages:
"sudo apt install bacularis bacularis-nginx"

If I install the Bacula packages first, everything works fine via the
"bconsole." However, as soon as I install Bacularis and configure it to
use the existing Bacula installation, the Bacularis frontend appears to
detect everything correctly. Yet, the moment I attempt to make any
changes, those changes are not applied—even though Bacularis displayed
green checkmarks everywhere during the configuration process.

This project seems to be running very unstably. Is there any good
documentation available that actually works?

Best regards,
Stefan Harbich
