Thank you for this hint.

I'm using bat, the Restore button (for me the seventh in the row). And as I said, I've missed something.

I checked it again. And after selecting the file to restore, the next screen shows a field "To client:" and below there is a field "Where:". I overlooked this completely.

Sorry for that. My problem seems to be solved with that.

Best greetings and have a nice weekend.
Ingo

Is this using the restore command in bconsole?

It should be asking you to "Select the Client" when you do that.

Can you post the full bconsole session (everything from the restore command to
the final "OK to run? (Yes/mod/no)" prompt)?

Hi all,

probably I've missed something crucial. I'm using bacula for more than
ten years now. Whenever I restored files from a remote PC, the files
reappeared in the bacula-restores directory on the *remote* PC. Now,
with version 15.0.3, the files appear on my bacula server in the
bacula-restores diectory. I need the restore pretty rarely, so I do not
know, when the behaviour changed.

Is there a way to specify the destination of restored files? If yes,
where? In the bacula-dir.conf, or in the client'2 bacula-fd.conf?

Best greetings
Ingo
