That part is interesting. My testing, with the --with-curl option mentioned 
earlier, reveals that GZIP and LTO compression options both yield a compressed 
FileSet.

In particular, I tested LTO both with and without the --with-curl option - both 
resulted in non-zero values for "Software Compression" (e.g. 63.6% 2.7:1)

zstd has no compression results, either with or without the  --with-curl option.
