But... Interesting aproach 'stenc'...

The more important part is if you encrypt by software you should also compress 
by software beforehand.  That even more draws from your CPU power and streaming 
speed. Encrypted data cannot be compressed by the drive anymore noticeable 
(on-the-fly).
