What on earth has happened here?

How can we know? You have not shown us any logs, nor any listing of files in
the dataspool directory. 🤷

In bconsole:
* ll joblog jobid=xxxx

In bash:
# ls -la /path/to/data/spool/dir

BUT, your job terminated "Incomplete" which means that once you fix whatever is wrong, you can resume this job and not have to start from the beginning:

* resume incomplete <enter> (and choose Job, then the jobid)

Best regards,
Bill
