I have a number of volumes with status 'Purged' or 'Recycle' that have no
corresponding S3 directory. It appears to have been deleted from S3. If I
do the bconsole command 'cloud upload allpools allfrompool
storage=cloud-sd', the purged and recycle volumes fail to upload and
report an upload error. Full and Used volumes upload without error.

To check out what's happening, I copied a purged volume from the cache to
S3 (using rclone) and then reran the cloud upload which then did not report
an error for this volume.

I have been doing this upload command as a daily 'run after' because volume
uploads occasionally fail because of network error or temporarily
unavailable slots on the S3 cloud.

It's not clear to me why S3 volumes would get deleted when a volume is
marked purged or recycle. Even these retain a small but finite size so it
probably isn't S3 dropping zero size files.

A small script enabled me to automate this across all missing volumes which
I'm happy to provide to anyone interested.

Any ideas?
