Hello,

I had a dual drive Overland autoloader, which worked absolutely perfectly -- except it was an old DDS (?) loader and I needed to move to a LTO, so then I got a Tanberg LTO-2 (I forget the exact number) loader.  The first one that came from the factory didn't work, so I sent it back.  The second one came but they did not send the rails I had bought (so I had to buy them locally).  It worked for a short period, but then failed because the picker could not remove the cassette from the drive.

Currently I have a Sun StorageTek (I think).  All my autoloaders have always worked; they have functioned perfectly -- except for one: the one built by Tanberg.  Unfortunately, I do not know what is really in the Neo you are looking at.  If it is Overland design and built, it will be reliable, if Tanberg have gotten their hands into it, I would never even consider it (though they may have improved their technology).

Best regards,
Kern

Hello,
I am considering a purchase of a relatively small autoloader, but am not sure about compatibility with bacula.

I found this one:

If anyone on this list has experiences with this autoloader + bacula, please let me know.

I does know there is a "supported" list in the documentation
but don't know how comprehensive it is, there are some Overland models listed, but not this specific model (There doesn't exist a "not supported" list, does it? )

Also, suggestions (or dis-recommendations) for other autoloaders are appreciated, of course.

Best Regards, Markus

P.S. the Qualstar Q24 looks pretty identical to the NEOs T24
Does anyone know what the differences are?
