Indeed. This is what I found in client's config file:

File Retention = 65 days
Job Retention = 2 years
AutoPrune = yes

So for backups < 65 days I can use "restore" command and browse around using "cd" command, "mark" etc.

For backups  > 65 days < 2 years I can use "restore" command and regular expressions to perform searches.
So if I know the exact path to the file I can just provide it, right?
Does it work for directories, i.e. can I restore the whole directory with subdirectories?
I think there is an option of restoring the whole backup, i.e. all files.
I understand this requires time and disk space.
Will the original structure of files and directories be preserved?

Now - what can I do with tapes older than 2 years?
