Hi,
I wanted to restore a backup from a tape. Job is listed in the catalog,
volume status is 'Append'. However, when I tried to restore, it says:
For one or more of the JobIds selected, no files were found,
so file selection is not possible.
Most likely your retention policy pruned the files.
Do you want to restore all the files? (yes|no):
Turned out, a File Retention parameter is set to 30 days to the client, and
the files that I wanted to restore is dated back in April. Is there any way
that I can restore back the data without a catalog? The volume is encrypted
and as far as I know, bextract is not possible in this case.
Btw, the Volume Retention of the affected volume is 12 months. Won't this
value supposed to override the value of File Retention/Job Retention?
Please advise. Should there be any more information needed, do let me know.
