We are currently using LTO-5 but hope to upgrade to LTO-6/7 in the future.  We are also looking at backing up to a remote site (tapes are currently taken off site).  Possibly to a cloud storage.

P.S. Autochanger would be great but I doubt management would go for the price (ha).

The price for a decent used autochanger is about half the price of one employee for one month, which is peanuts for almost any business.

I am using a single LTO3 and consider updating to LTO5 within the next year.

Hi Alan,

I'm only using LTO-4 with Bacula.

This device to be precise:

Considering an upgrade to LTO-6 or 7 some time next year.

Thanks
Adam

Straw poll time for people using tape-based systems

I'd like to know who is currently using what (not historical usage)

1:   Who on this list is NOT using half inch tape (12.7mm) formats(*) -
if so, what are you using?

2:   Who on this list is NOT using a robot or changer device?

3:  For the half inch tape formats, what are you using?

4:  For the robot users: What are you using? (number of drives / number
of slots)
