Hello,
Unless the bacula-changer script has some particular
feature that you want, I would recommend using the mtx-changer
script that comes with the Bacula distribution (in the scripts
directory)
and it is supported. I have been using it for my backups since
the
first day that Bacula handled autochangers, and I am currently
running it on Ubuntu 14.04 with an LTO-3 SAS drive.
Best regards,
Kern

Hello again.
I am trying to get the bacula-changer.sh script to
work from http://wiki.bacula.org/doku.php?id=sample_configs
- i am still working through the config statements/edits and so
far have not got it working with my setup - I am not quite at
the point of asking for help, but has/is anyone using/got it
working with 7.4.2?
I am still plugging away at it, at the moment the
script cannot manage the drive, which i think is down to the way
it calla bconsole…
mtx.log:-

mtx-changer: tape loaded request on /dev/nst0
MT error, bacula might be using it! Return code: 1
Drive is UNMOUNTED:
The system is currently working fine and makes
backups over multiple tapes, though requiring manual
intervention - i want to streamline the manual flow so that
anyone can change a tape on receipt of an email.
