Good day ! One day i got following message: "Error: Bacula cannot write on tape Volume "000003L6" because: The number of files mismatch! Volume=110 Catalog=111"
I was wonder because i've already tested my tape drive configuration via btape. It had happened next day after i've applied my new configuration. Here's my tape drive device config: Device { Name = "LTO6-Drive-1" Device Type = tape Media Type = LTO-6 Drive Index = 0; Archive Device = /dev/tape5 Hardware End of Medium = yes BSF at EOM = yes Use MTIOCGET = yes; RandomAccess = no; Block Checksum = yes; TWO EOF = Yes Backward Space Record = yes; Forward Space Record = yes; Forward Space File = yes; Fast Forward Space File = Yes Block Positioning = yes; AutomaticMount = yes; # when device opened, read it AlwaysOpen = yes; RemovableMedia = yes; Autochanger = yes; LabelMedia = yes; Alert Command = "sh -c 'smartctl -d scsi -H -l error %c'" Spool Directory = /mnt/bacula/td5 Maximum Volume Size = 2450 GB Autoselect = yes } I've did one more test using tape utility and test failed. So btape recommend me to switch off "Hardware End of Medium" and "Fast Forward Space File" options. If i do that my tape drive works well, but extremely slow. Can somebody give me advice, what can i do to use this option properly? Maybe i did something wrong? I have LTO6 tape drive model 7104473 LTO 6 FC for StorageTek SL150. Bacula version: 7.2.0. If it's problem of my tape drive can somebody give my advice where i should dig to find resolution and what kind of tests except btape i can run to find out is my tape drive suitable for this option or not? +---------------------------------------------------------------------- |This was sent by f.filip...@rian.ru via Backup Central. |Forward SPAM to ab...@backupcentral.com. +---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting.
