Have just build a fedora 20 system with bacula 5.2.13 which seems to do its backup job correctly. However, the messages are not send. The messages directive in bacula-dir.conf is as follows:
Messages { Name = Standard mailcommand = "/usr/sbin/bsmtp -f \"\(Bacula\) %r\" -s \"Bacula: %t %e af %n %l\" %r" operatorcommand = "/usr/sbin/bsmtp -f \"\(Bacula\) %r\" -s \"Bacula: Indgreb nødvendigt for %j\" %r" mail = r...@epo.dk = all, !skipped operator = r...@epo.dk = mount console = all, !skipped, !saved append = "/var/spool/bacula/log" = all, !skipped } In /var/log/messages I see: Mar 18 19:51:31 epohost bacula-dir: 18-Mar 19:51 Message delivery ERROR: Mail program terminated in error. Mar 18 19:51:31 epohost bacula-dir: CMD=/usr/sbin/bsmtp -f "(Bacula) r...@epo.dk" -s "Bacula: Backup Fatal Error af BackupUlla-pc Incremental" r...@epo.dk Mar 18 19:51:31 epohost bacula-dir: ERR=Child exited with code 1 The messages are indeed appended /var/spool/bacula/log but I see nothing in /var/log/bacula/bacula.log which I probably shouldn't. I have recently been using this method with bacula 5.2.12 on fedora 19 with no problem. Has anything been changed or is this perhaps a bug of some kind? -- Erik ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn Graph Databases - Download FREE O'Reilly Book "Graph Databases" is the definitive new guide to graph databases and their applications.
