I am not a sales person, and I really try to keep the
Bacula Systems commercial stuff on the Bacula community
list to a minimum, but since you asked ...
There are lots of pros of going with Bacula Enterprise:
1. We supply binaries that are tested
2. We supply new binaries with fixes to bugs
3. You get what I feel is very good support
4. You get software that has a considerable number of
Enterprise performance improvements.
5. You get software that is more secure
6. You can get *lots* of additional features such as those
that you are asking for.
The cons:
1. Well, I don't really want to talk about that :-)
2. OK, it does cost, which is something community users
can afford to do ...
Why are there no price lists on the Bacula Systems web site?
Because we are so ridiculously inexpensive compared to other
major commercial vendors.
If you want prices and to know more about Enterprise features, you
can get more information but simply filling out a query form that is
somewhere on the Bacula Systems web site: www.baculasystems.com
If that doesn't work out, contact me directly and I ensure you get the
info you would like to have.
Just to balance this a bit. For community users, please know that over
time everything that Bacula Systems adds to the Enterprise version that
does not involve third-party prioprietary stuff will over time, as it has
since the beginning of Bacula Systems in 2008, migrate into the Bacula
community version.

4 Xenserver 6.2 hosts (running ~17-20 VM's split between Windows 2008
R2 and Ubuntu LTS).
2 Physical Servers (Windows 2008 R2)
2000/2005/2008 M$ SQL SERVER, M$ EXCHANGE 2010
Oh, we are looking at using Bacula to get stuff offsite. Our Bacula
server is just a plain Dell PowerEdge server with dual Xeon CPU's,
12GB RAM, and 8x3TB drives in a RAID-5 configuration with raid card
and battery backup on the card. It also has 2 tape drives (LTO-2,
LTO-5). I'm still researching how to use Bacula (copy/migration) to
maybe copy some of the files to our secondary plant via our wireless
link (18Ghz link at 300Mbps bandwidth). Anyone who has successfully
setup an offsite scenario, I'd love to hear from you.
